Darren Barker upsets Daniel Geale

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The lesson was his blessing, but it was also nearly his undoing. Darren Barker had fought the middleweight champion and lost, bloodying Sergio Martinez but ultimately suffering an 11th-round knockout. Daniel Geale "Golovkin hasn' been tested"

IBF middleweight champion Daniel Geale (29-1, 15KOs) is not convinced about hype revolving around the WBA/IBO's champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs). Geale defends his title this Saturday against Darren Barker in Atlantic City. Golovkin was Geale's mandatory challenger earlier this year, but the Australian boxer took another direction and accepted a more lucrative fight against Anthony Mundine. If Geale wins this weekend, HBO would be very interested in a unification showdown with Golovkin.
