Keith Thurman vs Robert Guerrero

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that he wants to put together a high stakes showdown between WBA interim-welterweight king Keith "One Time" Thurman, and former champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero, for November 2nd. Golden Boy is planning a big event for the date and Thurman-Guerrero is on Schaefer's radar for the show. Thurman (21-0, 19KOs) last fought on July 27th, when he knocked out previously undefeated Diego Chaves in an action-packed fight. Guerrero (32-2-1, 18KOs) last fought in May, losing a twelve round decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr. "I'm going to do a very significant card on November 2nd. One fight I would love to see, as a fan - one of those Fight of The Year candidates, one of those fights that are must see TV, something that you know is going to be a hell of a fight, can't miss TV, must tune in - and that's Keith Thurman against Robert Guerrero. It would be an absolute barnburner of a fight. I don't know if I'm

Keith Thurman "The welterweight division is no place for Amir Khan"

Hard hitting WBA interim-welterweight champiopn Keith Thurman (21-0, 19KOs) has advised Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs) to stay away from 147-pounds. Khan is looking to make a full welterweight debut on December 7th, with IBF champion Devon Alexander as a possible opponent. He says Khan couldn't take hard punches at junior welterweight and won't be capable of taking the much harders shots from the upper-tier fighters at 147. "You know with my motto being ‘KOs For Life’ I don't see a lot of fights going twelve rounds. I beat my head over the simple fact I got two fights on my record that went the distance. I really don't understand why fights go the distance - if you're really fighting, somebody should be getting beat up and beat down. He couldn't take Danny Garcia's left hook at 140. I really don't think Amir Khan has any business stepping up into the 147 division," Thurman told Live Fight.
